Beautiful

They have arrived!! These are the tulips that my parents and I planted last fall. They are so beautiful! Such a nice change from snow! Spring is here at last!

Finals are over!

I think that it is safe to say that this is how Dave has been feeling the past few weeks. After many papers, presentations, and tests, spring semester is over!! I am so excited that Dave will be taking the summer off from school. Yay for Dave!! Now he can finally relax!

The Desk

This has been Dave's project for the past few weeks. It is a computer desk. I made the mistake of "joking" with him, telling him that I didn't think he'd be able to build one. I'll never make that mistake again. (: He has definately proved me wrong! It is starting to look really nice. I'll post more pictures once we have it stained and assembled.

So excited for my trip!

Last night we had dinner with Adam and Beth and their kids and we spent a lot of the night talking about our trip to California soon! We are not leaving until mid June, but just talking about it made me so excited! Dave and I need a vacation so bad! (Poor Dave, finals week is coming up and he is so busy!) I can't wait! It's going to be so fun. I'm excited to go to Disneyland! Love that place. Random picture, I know. I thought it was so funny!

Easter Fun!

Easter was a lot of fun this year. The weather was SO nice! I have spring fever so bad! It keeps changing on me! We'll have two days of great weather and beautiful sunshine, and then a day like today comes...clouds and rain! I heard that it is supposed to snow tomorrow! WHA?! I'm really hoping that the snow is behind us! Come on sunshine! We spent Easter at my grandparents house. Nothing too special, just dinner with the family. Happy one year to us!

David and I celebrated our first year anniversary on Sunday! We had a lot of fun celebrating on Saturday. We went to Robintino's for dinner (so GOOD!) I also got a new spring dress (pictured above). Every dress/skirt that I own is black, so it was nice to get something different. I can't believe that we have been married for a year! It has been the best year and we are so excited to see what the next year has in store for us!

Birthday Cake

Here are some pictures of the birthday cake that I made this week. I was pretty pleased with it. I had the hardest time covering the cake in fondant, but with Megan's help, we got it looking really good. I have come to realize that I really like "decorating"cakes, but the actual prep work that goes into getting a cake to the decorating point is a TON of work! I never thought it would be so hard and frustrating! It's a good thing that I have my sister to help me. Once the cakes were covered in fondant, I had a blast decorating it! I'm getting better! YAY!
