NO!!! Wilton Cake class week 2 canceled!

NO!!!! I just found out that this weeks cake class is canceled! Megan and I are so disappointed. I have been looking forward to it! I was going to make this really sweet Valentines day cake. I think I'm still going to make it. How can I not!? (: With any luck, I'll have time tonight to make it. It will be interesting to see how well it turns out. Especially since I won't have my instructor helping me. AHH, the true test of my cake decorating abilities! I'll be sure to post pictures either way. Hopefully it won't be canceled week three!

Wilton Cake Course 1 Class 1

Today my sister Megan and I started taking a cake decorating class together. We have this dream of wanting to make wedding cakes as a business together. So, we decided that we better take some classes to improve our crazy cake decorating skills!! (: The class today was pretty basic. We were shown how to make buttercream icing and how to properly ice the cake. (Pretty intense stuff, I know). The course is four weeks long so we have three weeks left. Next week we are actually going to have our own cake to ice and decorate. I'm pretty excited. Once we get done with this course, I think we are going to take the Fondant and tiered cake course next. New to Blogging

Alright, so I've finally decided to delve into the art of blogging. I'm not quite sure how this blogging thing works, but we'll see if I can get the hang of it. I thought it would be fun to document my life this way. I used to write in my journal every day. That ended several years ago and for some reason I haven't been able to get back into that habit. With any luck, this will get me going again!
