The Bee's Game

Tonight Dave and I were able to go to the Bee's game and watch Dave's dad throw the opening pitch! Here are a few pictures from the night. (btw, Dave was TRYING to ruin every picture that I took of him. I think he succeeded!)

Adam and Beth's Wedding

Adam and Beth got married this past Tuesday. After they got married, they had a barbeque at their house for the family. Here are a FEW (ok, maybe A LOT) of pictures from the day. Enjoy!

Wedding Cake

This past Tuesday, Adam and Beth got married. This is the cake that I made them. It was my first wedding cake. This cake was a lot different than the other cakes I had made. This was the first time that I had made sugar roses and it was also the first time that I had made the fondant from scratch. Marshmallow fondant is MUCH better that wilton fondant btw). Making the fondant from scratch was a sticky, gooey process! It turned out perfect though, and it tasted wonderful. The cake was fun fetti with raspberry filling. This was sucha fun cake to make and I was so happy with how it turned out. Hooray for my first wedding cake!

4-Wheeling up Farmington Canyon

This past Saturday, Dave and I went 4-wheeling up Farmington Canyon. It was a lot of fun. We hadn't gone since Summer 2006! It was one of our first dates when we went in 2006, and we both agree that it was the best date we had. So, we re-created the date. We had subway sandwhiches (same as before), and after four-wheeling, we went to the drive-in! So much fun. It was a great day. (too bad I don't have any pictures from the first date) :(

This is where we ate lunch. It was so beautiful!

Golfing and Zeppe's

This past weekend, Adam, Carlie, Dave and I went golfing at Swan Lakes. It was SUPER hot, but we had a lot of fun. Thank goodness for golf carts! (: Because of the heat, we went to Zeppe's afterwards. It was a fun day. Adam and Carlie
Dave getting ready to tee off.

Dave looking great, as always. (: And then there's me. Cheesy Gilligan alert!

Us. We had a lot of fun golfing. We're not the best at it, but we enjoy it. I got my first birdie ever during this round. I birdied the first hole. It was awesome. My first hit landed on the edge of the green, and then I made the longest putt of my life on the second! So cool! I was jumping up and down, the people around us probably thought I was the biggest nerd. The rest of my game went downhill from there. I got 9's and 11's on the rest of the holes! (: Like I said, I'm not good at golf.

Here's me standing in front of the Zeppe's wall eating my peach/vanilla custard shake...AMAZING! Love that place.

CAAP Results

This post is long overdue as well. I received my results for the CAAP exam that was previously mentioned. This is how I felt after I read them. I passed! I passed ALL of the subjects! Now I can apply for the teaching program. I am so happy that I don't have to take that again! YAY! Now, I just need to be accepted into the program so I can get on with my life! (:

The Beach-California 2009

I forgot to post the pictures of our trip to the beach while we were in California. We were not able to spend nearly as much time at the beach as we had hoped. We ended up going one night. I didn't even put my suit on! I was just standing on the shore, and a HUGE wave came and got me all wet! Luckily, Carlie got some pictures of us before that happened. Dave was brave enough to get all the way in. It was COLD!! Dave and I. This is before the big wave came in. (:

I love this picture of us.

Dave and I. I look like I'm mad in this picture! It's just because the wind was blowing in my face, I promise!

Isn't it beautiful?

Kaitlyn and Austin. They had never seen the ocean before so it was pretty cool for them to be able to see it. As far as I could see, they loved it!

California Trip-The End

This was the last picture taken of our trip. We are leaving Disneyland after buying some souvenirs. FYI-I got a tinkerbell figurine to add to my collection. Dave got a Grumpy figurine (can you tell why? (; lol, jk). We also got a Little Mermaid snow globe. We decided that we were going to start our own collection of snow globes together.
The quality of this picture is horrible. This is Dave in Cheesecake factory. We ate here three times while in California! We loved it! You can order ANYTHING on the menu and it will be great! And, the cheesecake is to DIE for. After all, you can't go to the Cheesecake Factory and not order cheesecake! It's a good thing we walked around theme parks all day for five days, or I would have gained some major weight! (:

Universal Studios

We spent our last full day at Universal Studios. It was about an hour and 30 minute drive to it from our Hotel. Sidenote: I HATE LA traffic. Dave and I in the car. (great explanation huh?)
In order to get to the park, you have to walk through an outdoor shopping center. This was taken in a HUGE candy store. MMMM, chocolate. (it's actually a giant piggy bank)

I don't really know what this was. Just saw it and wanted to take a picture.

This was probably Dave's favorite part of the trip....GAMESTOP! He's in the back of the picture browsing for games. He wanted his souvenir to be from gamestop....luckily, I was there to stop him (;

Dave sleeping in the car on the way back to the hotel. We had a long, HOT day. By this point, we were theme parked out! (:
